In contact page for Rick Arthur, Aero Weapons Section 1966-1967
Rick made contact with us via the website and attended his first Squadron Reunion in the Cincinnati, OH area with his wife in 2008.
Rick is working with Bain (Short Round) Cowell to gather Centaurs unit history (oral history) at the 2010 reunion. See the Centaurs History page for information regarding that project.
Ric was a pilot/aircraft commander of the UH-1C HOG in the Aero Weapons Section.
Then and now photos. This merged photo (courtesy of Bruce Powell) shows a very young Rick Arthur with one of the HOGS - and at a recent Reunion.
(I flew with Rick many, many times in 1967 when he was an Aircraft Commander and training pilot in the HOGS but I don't recall him being that young! I think somebody must have lied to somebody about somebody's age when he joined the Army.)
