           Active Duty Squadron dining facility in Afghanistan named for D Troop Aero Rifles veteran, SSG William G. (Bill) Altenhofen

The Memorandum for Record awarding the honor to Bill is copied below.

It is a significant personal honor for the Active Duty 3/4 Cav Troopers to use this method to reinforce the connection between Squadron veterans and the 'young' Troopers on the firing line.
